Have any idea how many models Omega released this year at Baselworld 2017? We won’t like to keep you guessing, the answer is 141! One of Switzerland’s biggest and most luxurious manufacturer had one of its most aggressive Baselworld events ever. However, even with a star-cast of 141, three heroes stood out. It was not only we at Rigalio, who were star struck when we witnessed Omega’s Trilogy, almost the entire watch world stood up and took notice. The reason? So much history is involved with these timepieces. In fact, this Trilogy is the holy grail of collectors the world over.
Each watch is limited to 3,557 pieces and is delivered inside a presentation box inspired by the original 1957 packaging, right down to the Seahorse on the lid, a retro logo and beige corduroy lining. The box also contains two spare straps; leather and NATO, as well as a tool to change them. All three watches are cased in brushed and polished stainless steel and feature a black 'tropical' dial, with vintage indexes slightly deepened to allow filling with Super-LumiNova. The stainless steel bracelets have been updated for strength and aesthetics and feature a retro-style Omega logo on the clasp. For enthusiasts not content with owning just one of these classic watches, OMEGA has created a very special Trilogy box, limited to just 557 pieces. Beautifully presented within a specially-engraved Swiss oak box, all three watches are engraved with identical Limited Edition numbers. The box also includes a leather watch roll with six spare straps (three leather/three NATO) as well as a wooden spring bar changing tool.
